🔬 Spores: Asexual: Ellipsoid, smooth, hyaline; ~ 8-12 × 3.5-5 µm; Aleuriospores: Round, warty/spiny, yellow; ~ 9-20 µm diameter; Ascospores (sexual): Fusiform to lanceolate, often bi-septate or bicellular, ~ 20-30 × 4-6 µm.
🔤 Widespread parasitic mold that overgrows bolete mushrooms. Initially appears as a white cottony or floccose coat, turning golden yellow then reddish-brown and crusty. It produces multiple spore types in its lifecycle (two asexual,one sexual), progressively changing texture and coloration.
